The 13th Annual Special Olympics Florida Golf Classic will be held Monday, October 5, 2009 at the Heathrow Country Club (Lake Mary, FL).

All proceeds from this event will benefit the 15,000 athletes of Special Olympics Florida. To date, this tournament has netted over $1,500,000 for Special Olympics Florida!

The event begins with a 12:15 p.m. shotgun start and the field will compete in a "Shamble" with best two balls format. Entry in to on-course contests and Mulligans can be purchased at event check-in.

Event entry includes a premium tee gift package, lunch, on-course food and beverage, a cocktail reception, dinner, awards and live auction.

On course contests and raffles will be held and all paid participants will be eligible for a Grand Prize Drawing, which will be held during the Awards Dinner from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Past Grand Prize Drawing trips have included a Disney cruise, Pinehurst, Pebble Beach, Hawaii, Scotland and the U.S. Open! You must be present to win.

Your participation in this tournament helps Special Olympics Florida provide sports training and competition programs, which enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities not just physically, but emotionally, psychologically and socially. The skills these athletes learn through sports help build confidence and self-esteem, which carries over into all aspects of their lives!
